A visionary and highly successful entrepreneur Mr. E M Najeeb is the Founder and Chairman of ATE Group of Companies and the Executive Director of KIMS Healthcare Management Limited.
He is also the Chairman of Kerala Chapter of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) for the last 18 years and the President of the Confederation of Kerala Tourism Industry (CKTI), which is an umbrella organization of various trade bodies in tourism.
He plays a prominent role nationally, being member of the National Executive Committee of IATO, and member of the CII State Council and Convener of the Tourism Committee.
Rajan Thomas Verghese, qualified from IITTM in Tourism Management, and ‘Bhavans’ in Mass Communication, Journalism and Public Relations. He is qualified in Management from IGNOU. Rajan Thomas Varghese is a Tourism Management and Marketing Management expert, with over 35 years of professional experience, 15 years in a leading public sector Tourism organization and 20 years at the top management of a leading Tourism and Travel organization, the ATE Group. At present, he is the Corporate Director of the Group. He has authored various articles, presentations and papers on tourism. He has widely travelled and involved in Tourism academic activities.
He is an Urban Planner who has vast experience in the field of preparation of Master Plan detailed Town planning schemes and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for various infrastructural development projects. He has exposure to different types tourism planning activities like preparation of master plan for destinations and circuits, preparation of detailed project reports for centrally sponsored projects, etc. He was a National Consultant to Asian Development Bank (ADB) as Costal Land Use Specialist for shore line protection and Management Project for Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka. He is also a Town Planner with 15 years experience in Kerala State Government. He has prepared conceptual plan and implementation plan for PURA (Providing Urban Amenities to Rural Areas), one of the prestigious project propagated by the former President of India, Dr. APJ.Abdul Kalam.
An expert in Finance and Accounts with over 24 years of experience in public and government organizations, he has a proven track record of providing consultancy services to various institutions under the Hospitality, Construction, Travel and Hospital Management industry. With vast international exposure, he specialises in Corporate Governance, Financial Planning & Forecasting, Project Management & Accounting and Legal Compliances apart from Cost Analysis & Feasibility Studies and Acquisitions & Mergers. He is also an excellent administrator and adept decision-maker who has keen interest in commercial practices and purchase and stores control processes. He was honoured with the ICAI award for the 2nd Best Financial Reporting in India in 2004-05 and was also chosen for recognition by the South Asian Federation of Accountants.
