It is a one-of-a-kind eco-tourist spot in Kerala which is acclaimed and listed among the leading eco-tourism centers and one of the must-see places in India. The land is also a botanical exposition of diverse trees, pastures and meadows. An inimitable possession of our country, Gavi is a distinctive untainted mass of acreage visited by both foreign and domestic tourists and envied by masses to which the place is still unseen. It represents an abode of innumerable kinds of flora and fauna intertwined with an easing climate and meandering water bodies. An equally exhilarating and stimulating constituent of the place is the journey to it. The route is spotted with more than a few tableaus for nature lovers

The project involves Eco Tourism destinations development of Gavi to make it a fully facilitated tourist destination. A scheme which can lift the veil on the quaint charms of the mountain location, 104 km from the district headquarters of Pathanamthitta, in the Periyar Tiger Reserve, needs to be brought into action. The population coming into the area needs to be complemented with more number of endeavors and actions to hope for. The entire potential of the land lying latent need to be dug out and brought before the tourists in order to keep them occupied with hobbies and interests. Therefore an integrated and sustainable development of Gavi and the route to Gavi needs to be put in place for the cohesive improvement of the total region itself. Ultimately, Gavi should become a consistency of tourist-friendly and environment-friendly developments that presents the tourists with an impression of fully satiating and substantial collection of memories with nature to cherish.
