Nagarjuna Sagar Tourism Destination Development
The project involves destination development of NagarjunaSagar to make it a fully facilitated tourist destination. The town of NagarjunaSagar is located at a distance of about 160 km from the capital, Hyderabad. The world’s largest masonry dam bearing the same name as the town –NagarjunaSagar Dam has been built across the Krishna River is located here. The dam has also created one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.
The project includes destination development of NagarjunaSagar to upgrade into a well facilitated tourist destination. An area of 500 acres is available for tourist development on the side of the dam. This is a good spot for tourist development projects like theme parks, destination development etc. Out of this 500 acres, 5 acre is to be developed in first phase for tourist amenities and infrastructure.
